New Kids on the Block singer and actor Donnie Wahlberg is giving thanks to God after a terrifying close call at a Las Vegas airport.

According to ChurchLeaders, the private jet Wahlberg was traveling on failed to get airborne on the morning of Sunday, October 18, and ran out of runway at Harry Reid International Airport.

"We're all okay. I'm okay," Wahlberg said in a video he posted to Instagram from the tarmac. "We were taking off and didn't get up in the air, and uh, ran out of runway."

The aircraft continued beyond the runway, narrowly avoiding several dangerous obstacles before eventually striking a fence.

Standing outside the plane, Wahlberg described how the jet missed trucks, heavy equipment, and dumpsters positioned just beyond the runway.

"The runway is way over there. I'm just going to tell you—these pilots saved our lives," he said.

Wahlberg credited both the crew's skill and the Lord's protection for the safe outcome. "God covered us, because I'm not sure how many fences we avoided, but we didn't avoid the last one," he said. "But we avoided those trucks and heavy equipment, and the dumpsters behind that."

In the caption accompanying his video, Wahlberg wrote: "Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster. The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not. Thank you to all the emergency personnel on the ground in Las Vegas! You all were absolutely wonderful. All glory to God! By His grace, we are all ok."

He added, "His love truly is eternal."

Wahlberg, who starred in "Blue Bloods" and currently appears in "Boston Blue," has been open about his Christian faith, and this incident adds one more testimony to the way he publicly credits God in moments of crisis.
