An abortion abolitionist organization says its online reach has more than doubled in five months, reporting 2.2 billion total views across its platforms.

Abolitionists Rising, founded in Norman, Oklahoma, and led by Russell Hunter, announced in May that it had passed 1 billion views. Five months later, the group says that number has grown to 2.2 billion, with the total still climbing toward 2.3 billion, according to Protestia.

The organization describes its mission as spreading abolitionist ideas and supporting abolitionist organizations, projects, and legislation, with stated goals of “the abolition of abortion, the repentance of the nation, and the glorification of God.”

What sets the group apart, Protestia reports, is its approach. Rather than supporting incremental legislation that regulates abortion step by step, Abolitionists Rising calls for immediate and total abolition, arguing that preborn children should be protected equally under the law. That position has put the group at odds with some larger pro-life organizations, which have opposed abolitionist legislation that would treat abortion as murder without exception.

For more than a decade, the group has pursued its message through conferences, street outreach, and the distribution of millions of tracts, cards, and leaflets. It has also backed candidates, lobbied state legislatures, and helped introduce abolitionist bills.

The reported view totals are the organization's own figures, shared through its social media channels. On YouTube, the group reports more than 520,000 subscribers, a gain of about 120,000 in recent months. It also reports nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok, about 471,000 on Instagram — nearly double its total from five months ago — and about 587,000 on Facebook, where its reels have drawn tens of millions of views. Protestia reports that the group logged nearly 90 million views on Facebook in October alone, with 1.3 billion impressions and views across all platforms in the last five months.

Group leaders say the numbers are not the point. In their own words, they aim to be “against the world, for the world,” seeking to change hearts and minds rather than simply accumulate clicks. Their stated measure of success is a shift in how Christians and the wider culture think about abortion and act to end it.

Whether measured in views or in votes, the group's rise reflects a growing wing of the pro-life cause that is unwilling to settle for gradual change — and a reminder that, in the digital age, a small organization with a clear message can reach an audience once reserved for major media outlets.
