Revival at Appalachian State: More Than 700 Students Turn to Christ, 100 Baptized

A night of worship and Gospel preaching at Appalachian State University in North Carolina ended with what organizers call a breakthrough: more than 700 students made decisions to follow Jesus Christ, and about 100 of them were baptized immediately afterward. The outreach was reported by CBN News on October 15.
The gathering was hosted by the UniteUS ministry at the university's Holmes Convocation Center. Speakers Tonya Prewett and Jennie Allen shared the Gospel with a large crowd of students described by attendees as spiritually hungry and eager to respond.
Students who were there took to social media afterward to describe what they had witnessed. One wrote that there was nothing more beautiful than watching people publicly declare their faith through baptism. Another called it the best night of their life, saying God's presence felt near. Others described the evening as life-changing — an opportunity to gather together and worship their Heavenly Father.
The App State outreach is the latest stop in a movement that began with the first Unite gathering at Auburn University in September 2023. Since then, the ministry says it has reached more than two dozen college campuses and that over 100,000 students have encountered God through its events.
This fall alone, UniteUS has already visited Pepperdine University and the University of Miami, where hundreds more students committed their lives to Christ, according to CBN News.
The tour continues this month and next. The next outreaches are scheduled for the University of South Alabama on October 27 and Belmont University in Nashville on November 10.
For believers watching from a distance, nights like this one carry a quiet message. A generation often described as lost or unreachable is showing up — by the hundreds — to hear the Gospel and step into the water. The harvest, it seems, is not finished.
